First of all, we want to express how grateful we are for questions like this. It’s incredibly rare and powerful that we’ve found ourselves a part of such an engaged and informed community that holds passion and an elevated standard for issues like ethical responsibility, that are so important to us.
At Alltrue, we are strongly committed to ensuring that the products we deliver are produced in a way that respects human rights and the environment, and protects the fundamental dignity of workers, in all parts of the world. We engage with brand partners and suppliers that are committed to these same principles and we seek out the most ethical and sustainable partners in the industry.
Deciding whether a brand meets the Alltrue standard or not requires an intentional and thorough vetting process. We evaluate each business for social responsibility, ethical supply chains, and sustainable practices. We’re committed to conducting business in an ethical and legal manner that protects workers and the environment. With respect for cultural differences, we expect our brand partners to share and support a positive social, ecological, and economic model for business that honors people and planet.
Our brand guidelines are some of the strictest in the industry and our standards are derived from the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Core Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), including the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our standards are the same for all vendors, including partners that produce products in China.
